Earthquake

Earthquake
14th of November 2016

I was living my worst nightmare, it was early in the morning I heard a creak followed by a shudder and then out of know the house started to shake like a rattlesnake it wouldn't stop. I heard a faint voice in the distance “don't worry Stevie everything going to be alright” said my mother. After it calmed down I fall back into bed as soon I hit the pillow I fell back to sleep.

Did you know The earthquake was based in Cheviot, close to Kaikoura. The magnitude of the quake was 7.8 it killed two people and more than injured more than 20 people.

Digi Awards

In LAVA this term we have been doing our digi awards! We had to make either a graphic design, iMovie or take a photo, I decided to make a graphic design.
Can you guess what my theme is? Our digi awards had to have a theme I decided to do mine about woman's rights my message is to never give up if you're women. The reason I decided to do my graphic design is because I have recently been fascinated in woman's rights. For home learning we get to learn about are passion project I chose to research how does gender inequality affect society? ( More information about woman's rights later )

Building shelters for animals

A house for a finger monkey.
It was the first day back at school in term 3, we were tasked to make and design a house for an animal that would hopefully help the environment.  My group and I designed a house for a finger monkey our group thought we were being smart thinking we had chosen a small animal, but we only had two days to create our final project. The hardest part was having to rip the wood off the pallets lucky enough Jake loves to smash stuff, I had a turn smashing “the wood it felt like it was superglue” said jake with a sigh’, “more like super times infinity” I commented.
